Miss Roleen Pickard 1981-1983

Miss Roleen Pickard, Beta Chapter, was elected Alpha Epsilon State president 1981-1983.  She had worked diligently as state publications and publicity chairman, recording secretary, and second vice-president and co-chair of the state Leadership Development committee.  During the biennium she presented the state organization with a set of flags identifying member countries.
As a member of Beta Chapter, Miss Pickard previously was elected second vice-president, and publicity chair.  She also served as publicity chair of the 1977 Northeast Regional Conference held in Indianapolis.  She was president of the Indianapolis Council of DKG.
Roleen Pickard was selected to attend the 1984 DKG Leadership/Management Seminar at the University of Illinois.  In 1989 she served as state finance chair.
Professionally, Roleen was a business and PE teacher in Bremen, Noblesville, and the MSD of Indianapolis.  She was active in professional and civic organizations, volunteering at the Connor Prairie Settlement in Noblesville.  Indiana’s governor named her a 2005 Distinguished Hoosier for the years she served as an appointed member of the Commission on Proprietary Education.
