Miss Josephine Jones, a member of Mu Chapter, served two biennia as president of Alpha Epsilon State. Known for her infectiously happy spirit, Jo has shared her positive demeanor with others at many levels.
At the chapter level, Jo willingly has served her chapter as president, first vice-president, second vice-president, treasurer, both recording and corresponding secretary, as well as Star Walk chairman and member of the finance committee.
At the state level, Jo has been first vice-president, secretary, and chairman of the membership, scholarship, and research committees.  She also was a member of the 2014 Indianapolis International Convention steering committee.
As a junior high school English teacher in the Jac-Cen-Del Schools, Jo said she chose that level “because my own junior high school English teacher inspired me.”  She became the yearbook advisor known for her creative and workable “out of the box” ideas. She also taught with gusto  senior English/dual college credit classes.
In the local community, Jo currently participates in the state and local retired teacher organizations, has directed six community theater musicals, and has given her time to the county election process.  Jo’s passion is to travel to the many national parks of the USA.
Since her induction into DKG, Jo Jones truly has used her talents as a key woman educator.   She has enthusiastically attended state, regional, and international conferences and conventions.  She graciously accepted the opportunity to serve a second biennium (2019-2021) as president of the Indiana State Organization DKG.  Her creative ideas and high regard for the Society have been an inspiration to others.
