Carol Herzog, Alpha Zeta Chapter, has filled many positions in the Society at all levels.  She enthusiastically was chapter treasurer, president, recording secretary, parliamentarian, served on various chapter committees, and continues to be a mentor to the membership.  She also chaired Coordinating Council 3.
At the state level Carol has chaired the Communications, Personal Growth and Services, and Professional Affairs Committees prior to assuming the role of Program Chair.  She attended the first Indiana Leadership/Management Seminar in 1995, then was elected second vice-president in 1997.  Two years later she was elected first vice-president.  She became Alpha Epsilon State President in 2003.  She served a second term as state president, 2009-2011.  In 2012 Carol was elected state executive secretary; she was re-elected for a second four-year term.  She was a member of the steering committee when Indiana hosted the 2014 International Convention.
Carol has flourished at the international level of the Society, first as a member of the 1997 Golden Gift Seminar in Austin, TX. She has contributed her energies as workshop presenter at various regional and international gatherings. She was a member of the 2010 International Constitution Committee and the Constitution revision team.  Later she was appointed to the 2012 Scholarship Committee and has served on the 2016-2020 International Nominations Committee.
Following retirement from public education, Carol directed a local preschool for eight years.
