Mrs.  Vrina Stebbins, Alpha Epsilon State President (1995-1997) passed away June 30, 2014 following a long illness.
Always thinking of others when fulfilling her roles as classroom teacher and later as guidance counselor at Village Elementary School in the East Allen County Schools, Vrina Stebbins --

  • Organized the Friendly Helpers, an intermediate level group of student volunteers who assisted primary students with lunch trays
  • Planned Bimonthly VIP luncheons for a small group of students, giving them an opportunity to meet with adult role models among community leaders
  • Developed clothing and Christmas drives to aid school families
  • Conducted evening and Saturday morning parenting classes
  • Was named Outstanding Elementary Educator in the East Allen Schools in 1985 and again in 1995
A principal described Vrina Stebbins as “a talented, committed, energetic, caring, and tireless educator who continues her search for what is good in children, as well as what is good for children.”
Vrina was secretary and president of Alpha Psi Chapter.  Later she chaired the Alpha Epsilon State communications and scholarship committees. She was elected first vice president before serving as the 1995-1997 state president.
Friends remember Vrina’s gentle demeanor and consideration for others, even in her final days.  Dedication to her church, to her family, to her students, and to the Society was apparent in all she strived to accomplish.
