![]() Marla Glover, Theta Chapter has been awarded $10,000 toward her doctorate by the DKG Society International. The scholarship was named for past Indiana State President ( and International President) Dr. Edna McGuire Boyd. Marla is at Purdue University in the College of Education working on a PhD in Physics Education. She is currently working on a research project on STEM integration in Middle School Science curriculum and tutoring future teachers in mathematics and science courses. Her research interests lie in classroom discourse and professional development for teachers. Marla also works nationally as a QuarkNet Fellow providing professional development and working on developing curriculum activities in physics that use High Energy Physics data form the Large Hadron Collider in Europe. She retired from Rossville High School to work on her PhD.
